Kunlun Kills It!

It has been a rainy winter here in Buenos Aires not always the best for wandering the streets. But Kunlun and my wonderful assistant, Paloma, set out to brave the elements and were rewarded with some excellent images.

They covered some serious ground from the beautiful bookstore, El Ateneo to Recoleta Cemetery and on to San Telmo. Proving that there are great things to be seen and discovered inside as well as outside.

I love Kunlun's eye for composition and capturing a moment. He also understood the concept always keeping your eyes peeled and to think creatively while shooting. I'm always begging my clients to not just look forward, but to look around and LOOK UP! Who knows what's going on up there and sometimes you can be rewarded.

Like these shots and want to book a tour with us?  Contact Amelia and she can put together something amazing to compliment your shooting style and skill level.

Sally in Soho

What you don't know, is that Sally's husband is standing just behind her right shoulder, holding/eating a big tray of beef ribs. Truth.

Sally, her husband, Ben and I took a quick half day tour around the side streets of Palermo Viejo/Soho one lovely afternoon in early October. We asked the BA photo god's to send us some dog walkers, and man, did s/he deliver! We also stopped in a local parrilla where Ben ducked to grab some take out (and we could take some shots) so he could sample the beef that Argentina is famous for. Well, we certainly didn't think of it ahead of time, but that meat pit-stop sure did helped us getting the pooches to pose for our cameras. Gotta try this trick more often!

2 Days With Edward

Over the course of 2 lovely days, Edward and I toured, clicked, talked and laughed. We captured a slice of BA life in Palermo Viejo. We chatted with locals. We strolled quietly though the Chacarita cemetery. We took portraits of ourselves and each other. We went to markets. We put some mileage on our sneakers and our memory cards. We picked though musty 45s to decorate my bare wall and photographed the process. We drank coffee and wine and mused about photography and life. We edited. And edited. And edited some more.

Together, we took a bazillion images. Somehow, we edited it down to 21 of Edward's best for this post.

I thank my lucky starts to have such cool and talented clients! Don't you agree?

Ray Rocks Almagro

Look at this guy! He was such a sweetie.

Look at this guy! He was such a sweetie.

I couldn't wait to post Ray's photos of our tour though Almagro today. Not only did the weather cooperate but, we had some fabulous subject matter entering our frames. Ray said he needed some work on his composition, I disagree! Each image is thoughtful and interesting. What do you think? Oh, and Ray is not only an excellent photographer he was also a break dancer back in the day. This, I love.
